We strengthen regional and rural economies by supporting job creation, diversification, and infrastructure development, collaborating closely with local communities to address their unique needs.About The RoleIn this role you will:Coordinate the department's disaster and emergency response which includes supporting the departments representation at various whole-of-government disaster management groups including representing the department at the State Disaster Coordination Centre.Coordinate the management of departmental emergency and disaster management plans ensuring that plans and frameworks are reviewed, updated and tested.Engage and facilitate post event analysis, debriefs and lessons learned for the region, including the ongoing development of continuous improvement strategies; maintaining knowledge of current legislation and guidelines; and resolving gaps in operational capacity and/or capability.Incorporate risk management principles and practices in the delivery of disaster management planning, review and assessments including the delivery of training.Other duties as directed and required.What We're Looking ForExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.The ability to manage multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.Why join us?We are committed to being a workplace that focuses on people.
