Cellular Therapies Clinical Nurse Coordinator
This is a permanent part-time position working 40 hours per fortnight at our Alfred Health location. The role offers great staff benefits and the opportunity to work with a talented team.
The Department:
* Cancer Program: Provides comprehensive cancer services across multiple clinical areas, including medical oncology, haematology, bone marrow transplant, apheresis, radiation oncology, and more.
* Clinical Haematology: Offers multidisciplinary care for patients with haematological diseases, including therapeutic and donor apheresis services.
The Role:
The Cellular Therapies Clinical Nurse Coordinator plays a crucial role in coordinating patients receiving CAR-T cell therapy from other health organisations. This includes providing evidence-based education, assessment, management, and support, as well as coordinating treatment schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate patient care for those undergoing CAR-T cell therapy
2. Provide expert education and support to patients and their families
3. Collaborate with the Haematology and Cellular Therapies leadership team to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
* Recent extensive cancer care experience, preferably in stem cell transplant or CAR-T cell nursing
* Post-graduate qualification in cancer nursing or relevant health discipline (or willingness to undertake)
