The role will predominantly be working on Civil Infrastructure projects, with the opportunity to assist with buildings projects down the line. This role would suit an estimator / quantity surveyor with civil infrastructure experience who is looking to continue to grow their career working on a variety of projects.What will a day in this role look like:Take responsibility for quantity surveying and cost management services on a range of civil infrastructure projects across Queensland.Conduct take-offs, develop reports, interact with clients and manage projects independently.Support cost planning and estimating during the design phase, including quantity measurement from design drawings, cash flow forecasting, construction phase cost management, capital cost analysis, and life-cycle costing.Collaborate with AECOM’s quantity surveyors and multi-disciplinary engineers both locally and nationally on diverse projects.Leverage your expertise to provide high-quality technical advice to clients and support senior team members with various tasks.QualificationsThe following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Prior experience in the civil infrastructure sector is highly regarded, whilst candidates with experience in the buildings sector will also be considered.A strong commitment to learning, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven team environment.A relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Engineering, with AIQS / RICS accreditation (or the ability to obtain it).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, along with intermediate to advanced knowledge of CostX, Pronamics Expert Estimation or similar industry-standard estimation and cost planning software (e.g., Buildsoft, Candy).Join us and let’s get started.
