The Opportunity To support the growth of our company, Bhagwan Marine is looking for an experienced Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator in Karratha. The coordinator will provide logistical support and coordinate the receipt and delivery of goods, equipment, stores, and materials from suppliers to shore-based facilities and vessels, including inventory control and management of warehouse facilities and management of all dispatches. Please note, this is not a FIFO position. Responsibilities Ensure Compliance: Uphold company policies, IMS standards, and safety protocols. Logistical Support: Coordinate timely delivery of goods and services in line with purchasing guidelines. Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming items, quarantine defects, and resolve issues with suppliers promptly. Inventory Control: Track stock, manage inventory, and oversee internal transfers using MEX software. Documentation & Reconciliation: Verify purchase orders, reconcile invoices, and document dispatches accurately. Warehouse Oversight: Maintain housekeeping, manage vehicle serviceability, and control access to restricted areas. Cost Efficiency: Consolidate consignments for cost-effective dispatch. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure dangerous goods meet State, Commonwealth, and safety requirements. Coverage & Flexibility: Provide backup support as needed and handle occasional after-hours work. Requirements: 3 years' experience working within Stores, Warehousing, and/or purchasing. MR Driver's license. MS Office literacy and proficiency including Word and Excel. Organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team. Sound understanding of the Marine, Oil & Gas Industry and/or Resource sector. Strong written and oral communication skills.
