We are seeking a Project Manager: Digital Student Experience to contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University.
About the role
As Project Manager: Digital Student Experience for the Student Experience and Administration Domain, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the integration of digital solutions across a range of projects that aim to enhance the student experience. This role will require aligning digital transformation efforts with the goals of the Adelaide University and ensuring the successful delivery of key initiatives.
This role will be pivotal in driving collaboration between Domains, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring that project milestones are met on time.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a deep understanding of the student experience, and the ability to navigate the complexities of large-scale digital initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
* Project Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
* Resource Management: Identify and allocate the necessary resources, including team members, materials, and equipment, to execute projects efficiently and effectively.
* Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, providing clear direction, setting performance expectations, and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and productivity.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact on project timelines and outcomes. Proactively address challenges that may arise during project execution.
* Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines. Regularly report on project budget status to stakeholders.
* Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with stakeholders, team members, and clients throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular project status updates and facilitate effective feedback channels.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Relevant tertiary qualification together with extensive project management experience.
* Excellent project management skills with a proven record of successfully managing all aspects of large-scale and complex projects through to completion, in accordance with project management methodologies, standards, timeframes and budgets.
* Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, synthesise broad data and analyse at a detailed level.
* Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to identify emerging issues, trends and opportunities and provide insightful recommendations and advice.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and work in collaboration with other teams.
