The roleAs Technical Director, Rolling Stock you will provide technical leadership supporting the Head of Rolling Stock in creating plans to further develop technical excellence within the team. You will also be a key player in the development of the team and identifying growth opportunities within the rolling stock sector. You will: Drive a culture of technical excellence Manage delivery of large, complex and strategic assignments Have a multi-disciplinary approach working with other sector leads About you An engineering degree with demonstrated experience in the rolling stock industry A proven work history undertaking investigations, rolling stock testing, fault analysis, problem solving, trial modifications, rolling stock operation, reliability and maintenance and fault and failure interpretation and diagnostics High level of skill in developing and continuously improving maintenance processes, strategies, scopes of work and modifications to improve rolling stock safety, performance, reliability and cost Excellent client engagement and influencing skills Experience of work winning and delivery in a consultancy environment, with a track record of: successfully securing work through public sector competitive tendering including tendering for frameworks; and successful delivery of rolling stock projects Experience of developing long-term strategic relationships with clients Experience of devising and executing strategy and growth plans An ability to analyse markets, understand client needs and convert opportunities into compelling value propositions.
