Your part in our Blue Care team
Blue Care operates over 35 retirement villages across Queensland, with more than 3,300 residents choosing to make a Blue Care community their home.
Our dynamic retirement living team at Argyle Gardens in Bundaberg is looking for a committed and friendly Cook to join their dedicated and close-knit team on a casual basis.
This is a great opportunity for a Cook or highly experienced kitchen hand aiming to restore their work-life balance and gain employment in one of Australia’s fastest-growing industries with the following tasks:
1. Prepare, cook and serve food in adherence with dietary requirements with a strong focus on food safety standards.
2. Support senior hospitality staff members with menu design and implementation.
3. Promote quality standards and maintain service with standard operating procedures.
As a Cook, you’ll take pride in your presentation, be knowledgeable in relation to nutrition and have a keen interest in the impact of dietary requirements on our aged residents.
You will have proven experience in safe food preparation, storage and delivery, a clear understanding of WHS, be confident in medium-high volume meal preparation and demonstrate the following:
1. Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent skills from previous experience.
2. Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
3. Understanding of Australian food and beverage standards.
4. Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.
