Redox is looking for an experienced and motivated Production & Warehouse Manager to drive day-to-day operations out of our Western Sydney manufacturing facility, storing, repacking, and blending chemicals and solvents for a diverse range of industrial clients in key markets.
The Position
* Responsible for the site management and operations of an EPA licensed chemical production and storage facility handling class 3 dangerous goods.
* Hands-on management of the day-to-day planning, efficiency, and operations of the production and related logistics activities.
* Ensure inventory management best practices are applied encompassing (but not limited to) stock storage, location, segregation, quantities, packaging, and labelling.
* Ensure all who work and enter the site adhere to company policies, procedures, and site-specific conditions of WH&S in compliance with state and federal legislation.
* Responsible for good housekeeping and hygiene ensuring that standards such as GMP and HACCP (but not limited to) are adhered to across the warehouse and related grounds.
* Ability to communicate and work with various stakeholders internally and externally to improve performance and outcomes for the business.
* Effective management review/improvement and documented capture of warehouse and related activities, safety inspections, risk assessments, GMP audits, quality problems.
* Able to train and induct direct reports, warehouse operatives, and related functions in processes, systems, and operational tasks and functions.
The Person
* Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience in manufacturing, chemical, or related logistics fields, preferably with completion of tertiary education.
* Experience in the handling of Dangerous Goods in an industrial context, particularly class 3 flammable liquids in production, warehousing, and transport.
* Thorough understanding of the laws, regulations, codes of practice, and Australian standards governing the storage and handling of dangerous goods.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Work, Health & Safety state and federal legislation.
* Knowledge and function of business systems, processes, and controls such as GMP, HACCP, ISO/Quality, Environmental management, and CoR.
* Well-developed leadership and communication skills in managing and guiding staff at all levels in warehouse operations and related activities.
* Well-developed time management, reporting, and organisational skills.
* Experience with ERP and WMS tools with a focus on production and inventory systems, along with pool pallet and IBC management tools.
* Working knowledge of continuous improvement and analytical tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Lean.
* Must hold a current Australian forklift license – LF class.
