The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Queensland (RSPCA Qld) is a leading animal welfare charity dedicated to improving the lives of domestic, farmed, and native animals throughout Queensland.
We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization in advancing its mission.
In this role, you will oversee an organization that rehomes more animals than any other in the Southern Hemisphere, caring for 42,000 animals and helping 9,825 find new homes each year.
As CEO, you will work closely with our Board, staff, government, and stakeholders to provide visionary leadership and strategic guidance. This includes managing a $50M annual turnover, generated through a mix of commercial operations, fundraising streams, and traditional revenue sources.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Leadership and strategy development
2. Operational oversight and management
3. Fundraising and development initiatives
4. External relations, advocacy, and community engagement
5. Governance and Board relations
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong track record of leadership, particularly in executive and CEO positions. You should be passionate about animal welfare and possess excellent communication, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness skills.
