Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Manager to lead our CMT laboratory in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
This full-time role involves ensuring compliance with relevant standards, delivering exceptional customer service, fostering collaboration among team members, and promoting staff development and succession planning.
The CMT Kalgoorlie laboratory holds NATA ISO17025 accreditation in Soil, Concrete, and Aggregate analysis.
We conduct onsite NDM and concrete testing, as well as onsite sampling of soils, concrete, and aggregate.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all laboratory operations and manage resources effectively to ensure timely test results for clients.
* Implement strategies to optimize operational effectiveness, conduct testing as required, and engage with current and potential customers.
* Maintain effective communication with Management and provide timely, accurate reporting to the Business Manager.
* Ensure technicians receive adequate training and development in accordance with SGS and NATA requirements.
* Adhere to quality standards and issue test results and reports according to ISO 17025.
* Implement and drive Lean tools (Kaizen, Kanban) to improve processes.
Qualifications and Experience
* An Advanced Diploma in Laboratory Techniques is essential.
* In-depth knowledge of ISO 17025 and experience as a Laboratory Manager or Supervisor are mandatory.
* Comprehensive understanding of NATA signatory for soil AS1289 and MRWA test methods is required.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive teams are necessary.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with exceptional communication skills, are expected.
* A solid track record of meeting customer requirements is expected.
About the Role
