Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Biosecurity Officer to lead and manage our biosecurity and NLIS regulatory programs and advisory services.As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering compliance programs to ensure legislated biosecurity obligations for pest and disease management and livestock and plant traceability are met.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage and coordinate the day-to-day delivery of biosecurity and NLIS regulatory programs and advisory services.Manage, support and provide guidance and direction of a team of Biosecurity Officers.Deliver compliance programs to ensure legislated biosecurity obligations for pest and disease management and livestock and plant traceability are met.Be available and support other staff to prepare and respond to emergencies within the Agriculture and Animal Services Functional Area.Work collaboratively with other LLS teams from the agriculture, natural resource management, invasive species, and business services functions to deliver integrated customer service focused advice, projects and services.Engage with landholders, community groups, government agencies and other stakeholders to raise awareness of biosecurity issues.Deliver and coordinate training to landholders on best practice pest management controls and support them to implement control programs.RequirementsCertificate IV in Government Investigations is one of the essential requirements for this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
