Primary Overview: Drive market share gains in Abbott Molecular (MDx) division by assisting the regional sales team to place Alinity m instruments within APAC. Utilize and develop workflow tools and strategies that will increase instrument placements, while maintaining profitability goals. Develop, execute and manage Laboratory Design Projects focused on optimizing workflow projects. Lead the coordination of a cross-functional team including Applications Specialists, Service Engineers, Commercial Sales leaders, Finance, Marketing, and our Customer laboratory team members to develop an integrated strategy and execute the actions of workflow project activities and initiatives to ensure the successful completion of projects. The Lab Design Manager plays a strategic role in the business to partner with peers, senior sales management to recommend strategies for the MDx APAC Organization. Major Responsibilities: Develop workflow project objective, strategies, timelines and milestones Clearly identify and define customer goals and lead the actions to translate these into impactful projects to benefit our customers and our business. Identifies resource requirements, costs and time schedule Recognizes and removes barriers to project completion Prepares and presents project progress reports to keep management and sales team informed Applies advanced specialized knowledge and tools to analyze data and recommend process improvement solutions Opportunity to drive creative solutions with your ingenuity and creative thinking Anticipates, recognizes, communicates and manages workflow opportunities with the appropriate sales team / customer / manager and presents and recommends actions to resolve the issues Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering or related disciplines Overall 12-15 years working experience with minimum 7 years of related experience working in Diagnostics market with knowledge of regulations and standards affective IVDs and Biologics. In depth knowledge of hospital laboratory operations (in particular financial and operational aspects) required Prior technical application experience in diagnostics testing is preferred Experienced in managing cross-functional projects or initiatives. Six sigma green or black belt certification or experience in Lean operations focus is an advantage Ability to troubleshoot problems and bottlenecks in processes and identify and implement appropriate solutions. Attention to details is critical, and strive for continuous improvement in how we work. Excellent communication skills Demonstrate proper etiquette and empathy for each customer interaction. Ability to work with other internal Abbott cross functional groups including Commercial, Commercial Excellence and Technical Support etc. Able to multi-task, meticulous and work independently while facing demanding situations.
