Kurrawa Surf Club is seeking an experienced Grill Chef to bring their expertise to our dynamic team. Kurrawa Surf Club are a Community Club where profits are returned to the local community by way of our surf lifesaving club.
Located on the beach in the heart of Broadbeach, our brand-new clubhouse boasts an uninterrupted 230-degree view of the magnificent Pacific Ocean and Gold Coast coastline.
Our chefs use only the freshest ingredients to provide a broad range of meals, including vegetarian and gluten free options. And our bar offers a wide range of Australian wines, local and imported beers, and our signature cocktail collection.

About the position...
We are looking for a Casual Grill Chef to join our fast paced, high-volume environment.
As one of the largest hospitality employers in Broadbeach with 100+ staff, we are always looking for people with recent industry experience, positive energy, excellent customer service and are ready to assist in our fast-paced Club.

What you'll do
* Take the lead on our grill section, cooking steaks and other dishes to perfection
* Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure seamless daily operations
* Manage meat preparation, including butchering and portioning a variety of cuts
* Ensure that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation
* Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations with precision
* Help manage stock levels and maintain a clean, organised work environment
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in a similar role, with strong grill skills and knowledge of steak cuts
* A passion for delivering perfectly cooked, high-quality meals
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining excellent standards under pressure
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* A team player with excellent communication skills
* Formal culinary qualifications are an advantage, but experience and skill on the grill are essential
* Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings and weekend shifts
* Demonstrating initiative and self-motivation
