Services include an inpatient ward, Community Palliative Care Service, State Wide Progressive Neurological Diseases Service, CHSP and NDIS Provider service.
You will work primarily in the Statewide Progressive Neurological Diseases Service (SPNDS), providing outpatient specialist support through hospital-based or telehealth modes. SPNDS is a level 5 specialist service, offering support to people in Victoria as well as in parts of SA, NSW and Tas.
You will provide expert OT advice to people with progressive neurological diseases (PND) and their formal and informal support network to support living well. You are part of a supportive and compassionate multidisciplinary team including a wide range of allied health professionals, neurologists and other specialists, specialist nurses and external stakeholders. The caseload includes people with Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington's Disease and other Neuromuscular disorders and atypical Parkinsons Diseases at various stages of their disease trajectory. The clinic manages people from diagnosis until the terminal phase of their illness.
