Carmichael College is a dynamic, developing College, committed to educational excellence in an overt and distinctly Christian environment. We are a non-denominational, independent Christian school located in Morayfield, Queensland. Currently, the College offers a Prep to Year 12 program. With a current student population of 870, projections indicate that student numbers will peak at around 1,400.
The College is seeking applications from experienced, self-motivated, team-oriented Sports Excellence Coordinator to provide exceptional support to our Physical Education and Sport Department.
The successful applicant will be a highly trusted member of a friendly and hands-on office team.
The Role:
This position is focused on providing support to the Head of Department (HOD) HPE and Sport.
Day to day key tasks and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
In partnership with the Head of HPE and Sport, develop a multi-sport, extracurricular excellence program.
Developing strong and intentional relationships with students.
Behaviour support.
Individual Development plans.
Training plans.
Academic support.
Parent liaising.
Sports community engagement.
Discipleship.
Working with the HOD and Sports Administrator to facilitate all associated administration tasks relating to the planning, management and execution of the above responsibilities. Maintaining coaching accreditations for coaches and/or providing opportunities for coaches to upskill.
The Person:
To be the successful applicant you will need to demonstrate:
A high level of proficiency in organising and coordinating sporting events.
Advanced skills in administration and computer literacy (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint essential) and be ‘tech savvy’.
High level written communication skills.
Effective time management strategies and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
Commitment to a personal faith in Jesus Christ and able to translate faith into practice.
Personal philosophies that align with, and fully support the College mission, values and beliefs as expressed in the College Statement of Faith.
Strong interpersonal skills – having experience with discretion and executing judgement.
High level of resilience and the ability to respond to changing demands/needs.
Proactivity and reliability with a solid stable work history.
Flexibility, forward thinking, enthusiasm, confidence with decision making, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Great attention to detail and demonstrated team participation with a high level of responsiveness (essential).
The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality (essential).
A current Blue Card (working with children check).
