This role will see you managing $60M in grants administration, financial forecasting, and project reporting to drive improved financial transparency and efficiency.Working within a dynamic and collaborative team, you will be responsible for month-end reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis, while ensuring compliance with government regulations.
The role also involves business partnering with internal stakeholders to support financial decision-making across key programs, including the $56M energy projects.If you are skilled in SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel (modelling & automation), and have a passion for process improvement and stakeholder engagement, this role offers a rewarding challenge in an essential government initiative.Key Responsibilities• Oversee financial management and reporting for large-scale housing and energy programs.• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting and forecasting.• Lead month-end reporting, variance analysis, and budgeting activities.• Maintain and manage capital reporting, fixed asset register, and some tax compliance.• Work closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.• Ensure compliance with government financial standards and treasury reporting requirements.• Utilise SAP, Power BI, and Excel to develop insightful financial models and dashboards.• Contribute to climate change reporting initiatives aligned with government priorities.Technical Expertise:• CA or CPA qualified professional with a strong background in financial analysis.• Proven experience in project financial management, or grant administration, and capital reporting.• Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and Excel (modelling & automation).• Solid understanding of government financial regulations and treasury reporting.• Experience managing purchase orders, tax compliance, and fixed asset registers.Soft Skills & Attributes:• Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.• Proactive mindset with a keen eye for process improvements.• Detail-oriented with a strategic approach to financial forecasting and analysis.• Experience in climate change reporting or an interest in sustainability-focused projects is advantageous.About the OrganisationThis role is based within a government organisation dedicated to providing safe, sustainable, and affordable housing solutions.
