About the PCA Traineeship: The main purpose for the trainee is to put into practice instructions given by the supervisor/s.
Trainees can spend several weeks, months or even years become fully knowledgeable in their jobs.
Written and practical examinations are required to complete the various modules during the course of the training process.
What does a Personal Carer Do?Build meaningful working relationships with residentsPersonal care - bathroom/incontinence assistance/supporting with showers and dressing residentsServing meals and supporting residents with a mealWellbeing - talking with residents and participating in activitiesCleaning - tidying rooms, changing linenAdministration - computer based documentationAbout Yourself: As a trainee, you are learning on the job whilst studying at the same time.
You will progress throughout the course and expand your scope of work as you learn.
The traineeship will run for approximately 12 months, full time, Monday through Friday.
