Commercial Manager The RoleDue to a recently awarded, Brisbane-based main roads design and construction project, there is an opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team. As a crucial part of the project team, you will be hands-on in the management and oversight of all commercial aspects of the project. This position demands a strong understanding of financial management, contract law, and commercial risk within the civil engineering sector.About You Bachelor degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law, Commerce, Accounting, Business or other associated disciplines10 years' + experience in commercial and contract administration gained on construction, engineering or associated projectsStrong leadership, people management and communication skills to manage and mentor commercial and project team resources and key management and stakeholder engagementDevelop and mentor a small commercial team to ensure that the commercial requirements of the project are successfully deliveredAbility to work well under pressure, multitask and prioritise workloadProvide advice in commercial matters to the project team as needed e.g. claims, contractual issues, contractual correspondence, disputes, preparing subcontract terms and conditions, and setting up administration procedures on and off siteEnsure strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of costs and revenue, including the establishment and implementation of earned value; take corrective action in line with authority and reporting frameworks and maximise the profit margin for the project.About BielbyBielby is a wholly owned and operated Queensland based civil engineering company providing leading earthworks and infrastructure capabilities to clients across Australia.
