The organisation
The Australian Dental Association (ADA) is the peak national body representing dentists and promoting oral health in Australia. With a strong membership base, the ADA provides leadership in dental education, policy advocacy, and industry standards. The organisation works closely with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and professional associations to influence healthcare policy and maintain high professional standards. Through its extensive programs and initiatives, the ADA ensures the ongoing development and representation of the dental profession while championing public oral health initiatives nationwide.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Chair and CEO, the Company Secretary & General Counsel will:
Provide strategic legal and governance advice to the Board, Committees & CEO Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and corporate governance best practices Oversee Board and Committee meetings, including documentation & policy development Strengthen and streamline contracts, policies, and governance frameworks The role will be part time (2-4 days per week), ideally based in our St Leonards office.
