The Role:We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Venue Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient running of the café, florist, function rooms, and kitchen at Bunurong Memorial Park (BMP).
In this role, you will lead a dedicated team, ensuring that all service areas meet the highest standards while aligning with the organisation's values.Your leadership and collaboration with the Head Chef and other teams will be key in maintaining a professional, efficient, and customer-focused environment.

In this role, you will:
Oversee the daily operations of the café, florist, function rooms, and work together with on-site Chef to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services in line with operational policies.Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring team competency and efficiency.Collaborate with the Food, Beverage and Retail Manager, Head Chef and Finance team to implement transparent reporting systems for revenue, expenses, and stock management.Identify and track opportunities to reduce wastage, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of supplies.Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team through regular training, performance development, and team meetings to ensure high levels of engagement and service delivery.Manage all staffing requirements, including recruitment, rostering, and capability assessments to ensure a well-trained and engaged workforce.Ensure consistent communication across all departments to foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for revenue growth in café, functions, and florist areas, reporting regularly to key stakeholders.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment and managing risks effectively.Your Profile:You are an experienced and detail-oriented hospitality professional with strong communication and leadership skills.
You thrive in dynamic environments, have a solid understanding of food safety, and are skilled at managing teams and operations to deliver exceptional customer service.
3+ years of team management experience in the hospitality industry.Advanced communication and customer service skills.Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and relevant legislation.Experience managing corporate catering events from start to finish.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet Explorer.Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.Current Australian Driver's Licence with no restrictions.High attention to detail and flexibility to work weekends.What's on Offer:We offer a fulfilling career with exceptional personal and professional growth opportunities, along with a comprehensive range of benefits:
