CHESTERTON CUSTOMSEAL is a growing business with production facilities in Wangara, WA and Smithfield, NSW. We manufacture high-performance polymer seals designed for use in a wide range of hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotating equipment. We believe that delivering fantastic customer service is everyone’s responsibility and we rely on strong collaboration between our Technical Customer Service & Sales Support, Application Engineering, Production teams and our national sales team to give our customers the innovative, tailored solutions they need. We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Customer Service & Sales Support person to join our team and contribute to the growth and future of the business. This is a customer service role and will suit technically minded individuals who want to learn all about our engineered polymer seal solutions. Full training and support for this position will take place in our Perth, WA, facility with our experienced and supportive Customer Service Team. Key activities include: • Sales order processing and preparation of quotes. • Creating accurate production documents ready for manufacturing. • Interrogation of the ERP system to identify manufacturing components. • Creation and review of Bill of Materials (BOMs). • Conducting periodic stock audits and inventory reviews. • Supporting the production team with technical application queries. • Using measuring tools such as Vernier, micrometer, radius gauges to measure samples and materials. Must Haves: • A passion for providing exceptional customer service and 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role or relevant industry. • Adaptable individuals with a proactive mindset are highly valued. Given the small team structure, we encourage everyone to contribute beyond their designated responsibilities and assist with various tasks as needed. • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and natural ability to build and maintain good relationships. • Calm under pressure, able to problem solve and methodical with a meticulous eye for detail. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with a continuous learning and improvement mind set. • Excellent IT skills, use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Teams) and experience with ERP systems. Desirable: • A mechanical trade or qualification will be highly regarded but not essential. • Experience in a manufacturing environment. • Experience with measuring tools such as Vernier, micrometer, radius gauges etc. This is a key role, and the right candidate will be able to develop and grow their career.
