THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head Sommelier, the Assistant Head Sommelier is responsible for the day-to-day running of the beverage component of the restaurant and bar, managing a team of sommelier and focusing on enhancing guest experience. This role is responsible for the maintenance of wine lists, service delivery of the wine service and assist generating incremental revenues through beverage sales.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Experience in a similar position within a fine dining establishment is essential. Preferably in a Michelin star restaurant.
* WSET (level 3 or diploma) CMS (Certified or advanced preferred)
* Exceptional grooming standards appropriate for a 5-star environment.
* A passion for hospitality, up to date with the latest industry trends
* Will need to lead by example and set high standards.
* This role may require an element of Manual Handling and Heavy Lifting may be required.
