About the job As the Development Services Officer, you will be the primary contact for customers, processing land development and connection applications within SA Water guidelines and timeframes. You will assess applications, prepare accurate responses, ensure compliance and accuracy, and deliver professional advice. In addition to these core responsibilities, you will manage various administrative tasks, such as processing daily mail, maintaining data integrity, managing records and ensuring all documentation meets statutory requirements. In addition, your responsibilities will include: Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day. You will: Operate with accuracy and efficiency when processing applications, providing customers with a seamless end-to-end service experience. Deliver professional and courteous advice on water, recycled water, and sewerage applications. Manage daily mail, maintain data integrity, review cases for accuracy, and ensure compliance with statutory documentation requirements. Build and manage relationships with internal and external customers. Contribute to continuous improvement for enhanced customer outcomes and experiences. Your success in this role will come from: Qualifications in Customer Service, Business Administration, or Land Development related field, or equivalent experience (Desirable). Experience in IBM Maximo applications (Desirable). Demonstrated experience in Customer Service with excellent communication skills (Essential). Knowledge of and experience in applying the Development Act and Community Title legislation (Desirable). Understanding of the principles of water and sewerage design and construction (Desirable). Demonstrated understanding of the Waterworks and Sewerage Act legislation and corporate policies relating to land developments, mains extensions, and connections (Desirable).
