As an Engineering Manager – Chapter Lead, you'll report directly to the Crew Tech Lead and provide expert advice relating to technology, solution design and architecture, people leadership, and hiring to drive excellence in technical delivery as per group engineering practices and standards. You will bring a perfect blend of people management and technical expertise and will be responsible for shaping the evolution of the technical squad through contribution to the BB Tech strategy, quarterly crew memo, prioritizing backlog, defining delivery roadmap, and determining which problems to invest in solving. Encourage risk-taking and constructive challenge while growing diverse and inclusive teams. Tech Skills: We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team: Expertise in developing robust, secure, and accessible native Android applications using Kotlin. Experience with Jetpack Compose with a solid understanding of Material Design. Advanced experience in best standards and first-class software engineering and architecture principles in mobile. Possess advanced knowledge in source control management such as Git and Gitflow. Understanding in metrics automation as well as performance tuning and capacity planning. Knowledge of cross-platform technologies will be a bonus. Understanding of best practices in CI/CD mobile would be highly regarded.
