Our Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice is seeking a legal secretary to join our Insurance Coverage team. The successful applicant will provide support to partners Peter McGrath, Emma Dawes, Hannah Jankiewicz and the fee earners in the practice group.

About the role
This exciting, full-time role is based in our Melbourne office. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to get fully involved with the practice managing crucial team administration, in addition to handling client queries and supporting the monthly billing process.
What does the role involve?
Administrative support to partners and fee earners in the practice group, including filing, word processing, diary and email management
Managing confidential firm information and opening new matters
Input and maintain client data into client relationship software (Interaction)
Assisting with client queries and monthly client reporting requirements
Supporting the billing specialist with the associated administrative tasks
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience as a Legal Secretary or working in an administrative assistant role within professional services. Applicants with prior experience in the medical negligence field are encouraged to apply.

To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter who works efficiently, uses initiative and has exemplary attention to detail. You ideally have experience working in a medium to large sized law firm, are highly organised and are familiar with court documentation.
Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential, as are excellent communication skills. You will be capable of using automated billing systems and client relationship management software (Elite 3E and InterAction preferred).
