Our client is an agency group, with a Content & Creative arm, who are dominated by media, digital and research, making it very different from being a creative first agency. Located in Chippendale, Sydney, this role is for a Creative Strategist with passion and a drive.
As the Creative Strategist, you will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing content strategies that drive their clients' success. You will oversee and inspire a team of talented professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and creativity. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will deliver high-quality content from concept to production with a key focus on storytelling. Leading by example, you will drive excellence and deliver market-leading content.
Our client is open to a range of solutions - a full time permanent position (open to 3 / 4 days per week, or even a permanent contractor).

Responsibilities Content Creation:
* Oversee the management, conception and posting of targeted content for different channels including websites, social media, and communications.
* Take a hands-on approach to managing the creative team, fostering a safe and supportive environment for learning and development.
* Handle day-to-day team management, addressing any issues or queries with assistance from HR, and drive team PDPs and monthly check-ins.
* Proactively consider available resources and bandwidth, participating in recruitment activities as needed.
* Consider and plan the team structure, in response to skill and resourcing needs.
* Understand team training needs, organising internal or external training when required.
* Attend and contribute to monthly management meetings, discussing team status, freelancers, clients, new business, and other relevant topics.
* Utilise social listening and search tools to gather insights and data, developing and implementing content strategies that enhance client performance.
* Ensure that strategies and content prioritise user experience, usability, accessibility, writing for the web, and meeting user needs before distribution.
* Engage in new business opportunities including sales communication.
* Develop case studies based on campaign effectiveness and media input.
* Participate in and contribute to client meetings and new business pitches.
* Oversee project management from conception to execution, ensuring high standards in all aspects, including financial components.
Skills, Education & Experience:
* 6+ years of agency experience (experience in a similar role considered).
* Proven leadership abilities within a growing agency.
* Demonstrated success in creative direction for conversion campaigns.
* Ability to conceive fresh and appealing ideas for new content that establishes or supports brand identity.
* Proficiency with or an understanding of industry-standard tools such as Meltwater, Falcon.io, Savvy, etc.
