About The Role This position plays a key role in proactively facilitating and supporting the delivery of the People and Culture strategy and framework and working collaboratively across Council to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and to deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community. This position is accountable to the General Manager People and Culture and will be focused on the needs and aspirations of the Townsville community; growing and managing customer relationships, developing a culture of customer-centricity and personal accountability; and reshaping how we deliver services to maximise value.
This position will educate, influence, guide, coach and collaborate with internal stakeholders and shares responsibility for the delivery of all human resource, workforce planning, diversity and inclusion strategies within council. This position will work collaboratively and constructively with managers to ensure council attracts and retains a professional, responsive, highly skilled workforce which meets current and future business needs; this will be achieved through the provision of high level, strategic, professional, informed advice.
About You Our ideal candidate will have sound Knowledge of contemporary human resource management practices, interpretation of legislation and industrial instruments and demonstrated ability to apply these to a broad range of HR issues in a complex environment with Proven ability to educate, influence, coach, mentor and forge strong stakeholder relationships based on the provision of informed, sound advice that builds an environment of trust and respect.
You will require Proven experience (4+ years) in a HR/ER Business Partnering role within a diverse multi-disciplined organisation with demonstrated ability to model the highest standard of ethical and professional behaviour and act with integrity and confidentiality whilst representing council internally and externally.
