About the role
Lovedale Bar + Grill at Rydges Resort Hunter Valley is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Duty Manager to join our team full-time. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional service and a seamless experience for our guests. We seek a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about hospitality.
What you'll be doing
* Supervise and coordinate the front-of-house operations, ensuring all service aspects meet the venue's high standards and guest expectations.
* Lead, train, and mentor staff to foster a culture of excellence in customer service, enhancing team performance and guest satisfaction.
* Manage guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stock management to maintain operational efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as venue policies and procedures, to uphold a safe and secure environment for both guests and staff.
* Collaborate with the Venue Manager in budgeting and financial management, providing insights into operational performance and cost control.
* Assist in planning and executing events, coordinating logistics and staff assignments to ensure seamless operations.
What we're looking for
* Significant experience in hospitality management, particularly in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant or bar environment.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
* Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a customer-focused mindset.
* Proficiency in hospitality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays, in a fast-paced environment.
* A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to the hospitality industry.
