Technical Operations Engineer
A highly motivated and result-driven individual with a strong technical understanding and the drive to learn data center engineering operations is required to join our team as a Technical Operations Engineer in AWS Data Center Engineering Operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
Maintaining performance benchmarks, conducting analyses, and preparing reports on all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance are also key responsibilities.
This role involves working on a variety of critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
In addition, the candidate will assist with the installation of racks and the provision of power/cooling within its constraints, participate in construction and operational meetings, and interface with Infra Ops teams for day-to-day operational requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, self-leadership, and organizational skills, as well as a facilities management mindset and ability to prioritize in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities:

About the Role:
This is a 6-month fixed-term hire with a possibility to convert to a full-time role. The position requires a strong physical component, including lifting rack equipment and working in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline
* Data Center Engineering/Operations Experience
