ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing water infrastructure projects, from initial planning through to completion. Your experience with Sydney Water projects will be advantageous as you manage technical aspects, coordinate resources, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards. This role requires strong organisational skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
DUTIES.
* Oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of water infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with Sydney Water guidelines.
* Conduct site inspections and manage the quality control process to ensure work is completed to the highest standards.
* Assist the Project Manager in budgeting, resource allocation, and project documentation.
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain project timelines and resolve any on-site issues.
* Prepare regular progress reports and updates for clients and senior management.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Project Engineer, with exposure to water infrastructure projects, preferably with Sydney Water.
* Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, water network standards, and construction processes.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
