Some of their assets under management consist of gas pipelines, wind farms, solar farms, and various other power stations, and they are constantly looking to grow by acquiring new assets.Your new roleMy client wishes to appoint an Asset Engineer to work within the engineering team to provide technical and operational support for two of their existing gas pipeline assets, with the opportunity to expand into renewables as the portfolio grows.
Reporting to the operations manager, the role will work within the existing team of engineers across a wide range of asset issues.
This unique opportunity will be based in their beautiful Melbourne office, and they have also adopted a very flexible hybrid work model.
This is a rare position to step into a position with huge growth opportunities within the business and a great opportunity for anyone looking for more exposure to renewables as they grow further.What you'll need to succeed3-5 years of engineering/operations experience in high-risk asset operations (such as upstream/downstream oil & gas, gas transmission, mining, chemicals).Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent.A mix of hands-on field experience and sound theoretical grounding.A robust understanding of the overall principles of asset management and how technical decisions impact asset lifecycle performance is highly desirable.The role requires a candidate who is willing to develop into new or adjacent technical areas.The candidate must also have an interest in developing non-technical skills related to finance, commercial and stakeholder management.Familiarity with KPI's and using them to monitor and manage third party service providers.A good understanding of the application of Australian acts, codes, regulations, and standards.What you'll get in returnThis is a rare opportunity to join a business that truly believes in its employees first and has built an amazing team culture.
