That’s why we’re creating a workplace and culture where you can truly thrive.Join us, and help move Australia’s heart health and your career forward.Your impact, with usAs our highly valued Medical Secretary, you’ll use your skills and expertise to provide quality care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.Based in Auchenflower and Clayfield, you’ll be responsible for providing support to our patients and clinicians by dealing with telephone and email enquiries, assessing urgency of enquiry in accordance with practice guidelines, helping to improve people’s health and lives and shaping our organisation’s future.You’ll make a meaningful impact by:Working efficiently in a fast-paced administrative role where patient care is our focusActing as the first point of contact to patients, greeting them on arrival and accurately processing relevant paperworkAdapting to and managing an environment where there is ongoing change and competing prioritiesProviding timely, accurate and professional secretarial support to the respective cardiologistsEffective management of diaries, all incoming correspondence, management of GP and referring doctor requests and calls.What you’ll bringTo succeed in this role, you will have:Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care and customer service, ideally in a medical/healthcare environmentStrong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to efficiently work as a proactive member of a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to nurture positive connections with patients.Experience in billing/receipting medical accounts, Medicare and DVA billingExceptional phone manner and ability to handle a high volume of patient enquiriesHigh attention to detail and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environmentWe would also love you to have:A mindset of collaboration and continual learning.
