What You'll be doing: The role leads complex production planning and supplier marketplace management of RFS firefighting appliances, vehicles and vessels. The role maintains a strong engagement with various stakeholders, to ensure improved organisational capability minimising operational risk. As our ideal candidate, you'll have a combination of hands-on production management experience, strong supplier and financial management skills, proven leadership capabilities, and relevant qualifications or experience, that support high-quality, efficient fleet production and maintenance operations. Key day to day responsibilities will include: Leading the development and maintenance of a rolling production forecast, model and plan, and managing changes to production that is informed by insights and good manufacturing practices. Leading supplier discussions, engagements and relationships, holding both the supplier and internal stakeholders to account to ensure optimal business and commercial outcomes. Formalising a structured maintenance and repairs framework targeting safety, quick return into operational readiness and a reduction of average fleet age. Superior financial acumen in managing operational and capital expenditure for transparency in reporting to the Executive. Leading, managing and empowering your team while challenging them, as well as other business areas, to strive towards good business, commercial and manufacturing practices. Providing input and oversight of all reporting aspects as they relate to Fleet Production, with high accuracy and confidence.
