About the role Located at our Retirement Living service in Warwick, you will help in the labouring duties associated with grounds and lawn maintenance, and preventative and corrective general maintenance services.
This position offers a 68-hour fortnight.
In this role you will: Undertake general maintenance work including repairs, installations and cleaning in accordance with the preventative maintenance schedule; Maintain the grounds including mowing, fertilising, pruning and garden refuse removal; Assist contractors around the campus and supervise other Maintenance Workers and Volunteers, as directed; Complete all relevant record keeping and administration utilising the organisation's asset management system.
About You This role is the presents a permanent part-time opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Officer.
The ideal applicant is a driven self-starter, with excellent communication and time management skills and a compassionate nature that enjoys talking and spending time with our elderly residents and can build a rapport with others easily.
As the Maintenance Officer, ideally your experience and qualifications include: Previous experience in residential aged care, retirement living, or community services environment is highly regarded; Demonstrated experience in a maintenance or landscaping role; Knowledge of work health and safety requirements, or the ability to acquire within one month of employment; A current driver's licence.
