Food & Beverage Supervisor - Conference & Events A little bit about us : Nestled on fifty acres of absolute beach front paradise, Elements of Byron is an award-winning resort offering luxury accommodation options, world-class resort facilities and unforgettable experiences. Barefoot luxury at every step. You'll lead, develop, and mentor our small Conference & Events Food and Beverage team. To be successful in this supervisor role you will have banqueting & events supervisory experience including managing and overseeing bumping in/out. You will be confident with training and developing your teams service skills for both alternative drop plated functions as well as roving canapes. As an experienced Supervisor you'll oversee function and event operations to ensure efficient, friendly, guest-focused delivery of service across all event locations. This is initially a 6 month contract position working 25-35 hours week, across a 7-day rotating roster. When we are between events you will be working and supporting our Restaurant and Outlets Food & Beverage Teams. We are looking for leaders with exceptional organisational skills who are focused on high quality customer service and sequence of service standards. An excellent communicator who can juggle multiple tasks while addressing and resolving service issues and identifying areas of improvement. Is motivated and energetic, with multi outlet and fast paced a la carte experience is essential. You could be working in our state of the art event and conferencing space or outside on the beautiful Breeze deck overlooking our main lagoon edge pool. Responsibilities: Address and resolve service issues and areas of service improvement Ensure that conference and event spaces are set up as per event orders Coordinate staff to set up and pack down conference and event spaces Ensure the smooth and timely delivery of food & beverages as per event orders/menus Meet and greet guests and customers across the Resort's conference, event and dining areas Oversee accurate cash-up procedures and ensure necessary paperwork is complete Assist with stock control procedures including receiving, stocktake and ordering of goods Requirements: Preferably an Australian permanent resident with a commitment to longer term employment. Previous hotel, resort or restaurant experience would be highly regarded Previous experience working as a Events Food and Beverage Supervisor or Team Leader The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, late evenings and weekends Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team Current NSW RSA and drivers licence High standard of grooming, presentation and communication Confidence in conversing with our guests and clients Actively demonstrate pride in your work Strong work ethic and punctuality #J-18808-Ljbffr
