Lycopodium is growing locally and globally as a result of a growing pipeline of awarded projects. We're recruiting for an experienced Lead/Senior Rail Engineer, reporting to our Design Group Manager to join our growing team based either in Newcastle or Melbourne.

The tasks you'll perform: Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the Client's representative that opens the lines of communication and assists in winning projects for the design team.Maintain the quality of output produced from the multi-discipline engineering and drafting team to ensure deliverables are met to a high level of accuracy.Ensure technical solutions delivered during the study and design phases are compliant with design review processes and design quality requirements.Monitor the progress and performance of project design teams and provide input, feedback, and support where necessary.Coach and mentor engineers and draftspersons through practical guidance during the design and commissioning phases of projects.Provide technical support and input to proposals, customer presentations, and other marketing/business development activities.Prepare design scope, budget, and schedule for written proposals.The expertise you'll bring: 10 years post-graduate experience in Civil Engineering/Design Delivery Role.Proven experience in Rail and wider civil projects.Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering.Membership of Engineers Australia with Chartered Status (CPEng) is desirable.Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills.Proven experience managing the interaction with Clients on design and drafting issues.High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge of engineering designs and calculations.Experience in Design and Project management.The benefits we'll provide: Lycopodium has a strong company culture focused on career progression and technical skill development.
