The Role:
We are seeking a leader who is:

To act in the important capacity as Senior Manager, Finance driving the finance team to ensure timely and reliable information is delivered to key internal and external stakeholders to support informed decision making across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and act as role model to deliver best accounting practices.
* Act as the key subject matter expert and functional leader of the finance team
* Provide recommendations and design financial systems and processes to meet function deliverables.
* Complete financial reporting and variance analysis with commentary relevant to operational plans.
* Manage financial audit & internal controls.
* Oversee budget planning and forecasting process.
* Stakeholder management and communication including auditors, executive, and senior management.
* Oversee, guide and mentor the finance team to reach their full potential.
* Develop and implement financial improvement plans.
* Develop business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
About you:
* Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics or related.
* Professional membership CPA or CA
* Senior manager experience as a department head or business unit leader
* Comprehensive understanding of relevant accounting practices and standards, tax legislation, and applicable Government Acts.
* Ability to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting
* Ensure best practise accounting standards
* Leader of finance team and financial process
* Exceptional skills using the MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel
* Ability to complete complex budgeting & forecasts
* Excellent communication skills
Desirable Skills:
* Experience working not for profit and/or human services organisations
* Board and executive reporting.
* Experience to mentor, coach and lead a centralised finance team.
* Awareness of NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission practice standards and compliance audits.
* Understand of Trauma Informed Care (TIC) model and Work Health and Safety (WHS) NSW regulatory compliance.
* Knowledge of the Workforce Australia contracts.
