Allygroup is seeking a Senior Legal Officer (EL1 equivalent) for an opportunity within a high profile federal government department. This is an exciting secondment opportunity for an initial period of 6-months with a possibility of further extension within a department with an excellent workplace culture. The ideal candidate will be based in Canberra, available full-time, and hold a baseline security clearance. However, exceptions may be considered for an outstanding applicant.Roles and responsibilities: The Advisings team offers guidance on the implementation of the new levies legislative framework set to take effect on 1 January 2025. This diverse role involves:preparing legal advice on a wide array of topicsproviding input on the development of approved and other formsadvising and contributing to the drafting of various agreementsreviewing formal briefs and minutesassisting internal clients with emerging issues.
