About the opportunity
Your duties as Carpenter will include:
* Perform formwork, framing, and finishing for civil construction projects.
* Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Install timber, plywood, and composite structures such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
* Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
* Ensure compliance with work health and safety (WHS) regulations.
* Work collaboratively with site teams and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
* Hourly rate $35.35 - $38.68 per hour (for first 8 hours) + overtime + $35 travel + $29.50 meal allowance per day.
* Permanent Fulltime role.
What you’ll bring to the team
* Qualified Carpenter (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years of post-trade experience in construction carpentry.
* Experience in civil infrastructure, formwork, and concrete structures is highly regarded.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Valid White Card (Construction Induction Card).
* Current driver’s license and reliable transport.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
