Description
As a Home Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks.
* Mobility Support: Helping clients with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair, walking, and positioning.
* Medication Assistance: Prompting prescribed medication administration and monitoring health conditions as directed.
* Companionship: Providing emotional support, engaging in meaningful conversation, and participating in activities to enhance the client’s quality of life.
* Household Tasks: Assisting with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
* Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team.
Qualifications
* Experience: Previous experience in a personal care role or similar environment is essential.
* Education: Certification III or IV Aged Care or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
* Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and transferring clients.
