Churchlands Senior High School (SHS) has an opening for the position of Program Coordinator - Teaching and Learning. This is an exceptional opportunity for an innovative and experienced leader of teaching and learning to play a central role in enhancing the quality of teaching and learning within our vibrant school community. As the Program Coordinator - Teaching and Learning, you will be instrumental in leading and implementing our whole-school vision and plan for teaching and learning. This includes the Churchlands SHS Quality Teaching and Learning Framework, which sets the standard for educational excellence across our school. Your leadership should focus on building staff capacity by utilising school data and contemporary research to drive improvements in student engagement and learning outcomes. The successful applicant will also have a 0.4FTE to 0.6FTE teaching load. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Vision: You will lead the implementation of a comprehensive vision and strategic plan for teaching and learning. This includes overseeing the Churchlands SHS Quality Teaching and Learning Framework to ensure alignment with our educational goals and values. Staff Development: In this role, you work closely with staff to build their capacity in effective teaching practices. By analysing school data and leveraging current research, you will work with staff to promote the implementation of strategies that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Professional Development: You identify the professional development needs of our school through feedback surveys and other assessments. Your responsibilities include planning and delivering targeted training to support teachers in their ongoing professional growth and development. Pedagogical Support: You will ideally support teachers in deepening their teaching practices by developing and implementing innovative teaching, feedback, and assessment strategies. These efforts should address the diverse learning needs of our students and promote a high standard of educational delivery. Collegiality and Culture: Building a culture of collegiality and continuous professional development is key. You should model innovative teaching styles, encourage appropriate professional development, and help create a supportive learning environment where teachers collaborate and grow. ICT Integration: Provide leadership and support for integrating a range of ICT and digital technologies into teaching practices. This will ideally enhance student engagement and learning outcomes, preparing our students for a digital future. Contemporary Pedagogy Knowledge: A strong understanding of modern pedagogical practices and the ability to apply this knowledge in a school setting. Supporting Staff: Demonstrated capability in engaging and supporting teachers to trial and implement new pedagogical approaches, fostering a culture of innovation. Delivery of Professional Learning: Proven experience in planning and delivering effective professional learning programs for educators, tailored to meet the needs of the school. Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and students across various contexts and levels.
