The role:
The Test Analyst plays a key role to support the development and implementation of testing solutions for the delivery for the clinical and enterprise ICT services. The positions involve supporting the implementation of quality testing methods to align with the Queensland Health ICT Testing Governance Policy framework. The scope of this encompasses strategies, policies, processes, templates, tools, and standards.
The position involves contributing to test plans, test cases, and other testing documentation. You'll ensure quality outcomes by conducting peer reviews of test cases for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business requirements. Additionally, you'll execute testing, work collaboratively with others to complete test execution, analyse and log incidents/defects using an appropriate defect management tool, and support defect rectification, re-testing, and test reporting.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the development of test plans and test cases and ensuring compliance to testing and technical policies, standards, and procedures within a large, complex IM/ICT program/project(s) environment.
Additionally, you will have the following:
1. Experienced in the development of project test strategies, test products and test cases within an IM/ICT program/project(s) environment.
2. Experienced in software and/or technical testing methods and tools with experience in the administration of test management software packages.
3. Experience in specifying and developing test scenarios to ensure user acceptance and records and analyses test results and reports any unexpected or unsatisfactory outcomes.
4. Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate client business requirements into testable business scenarios and associated test cases.
5. Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions.
