We are recruiting for a permanent full-time Senior Global Innovation Manager, to be located in our ANZ corporate Head Office located in Northgate, Brisbane.
Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing, this position has dual accountability: 1. APAC Innovation: defining and executing our long-term innovation strategy roadmap in APAC (key markets Australia & China). 2. Global Gut Health Category Innovation: this appointment will oversee and guide execution of our Global Gut Health category pipeline throughout our global regions. To achieve this, our target appointment will communicate and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders within our Global Executive, Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain teams, located throughout Asia Pacific, North America, and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of the long-term innovation strategy & roadmap for the region (Asia & Australia) Lead the development of the long-term innovation strategy & roadmap for Gut Health Globally Leverage global innovation to achieve regional financial goals and strategic outcomes Collaborate with local & global marketing teams, Research & Innovation, Procurement & Product Development teams on product innovation, consumer claims & repositioning Lead ideation process for accountable region & global category Lead the innovation process and prepare and present global and local approvals (concepts, business cases, P&L, forecasting, post-launch reviews) Own the product development process end-to-end: partner with Research & Innovation, Product Development, and Regulatory teams to lead cross-functional team through pipeline development (insight generation, concept development, consumer/HCP testing; Business Case, Product Briefs (inc NPD, claims, clinicals, external pipeline development/ partnerships, Post Launch Reviews) Lead development of innovation launch toolkits & handovers to multiple regions Understand the global natural medicines and Vitamins & Supplements market and provide in-depth understanding of consumers, competitors, portfolio, products Partner with cross-functional team to identify growth opportunities, consumer unmet needs, emerging trends & technologies Lead cross-functional communication with key internal and external stakeholders Identify where to play and how to win categories for region based on Global Category strategies Ongoing analysis of business data, sales information, competitive insights, consumer research, and other meaningful information to shape innovation roadmap Provide strategic direction to cross-functional partners (marketing, Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, and Finance) in the development and execution of innovation strategy and pipeline Leadership/coach and mentor team, inspire engagement and collaboration to help build broader capability Skills and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree is required, with a marketing specialization preferred Significant progressive experience in marketing, with experience in consumer-packaged goods or VMS/pharmaceuticals - highly regarded (10+ Years) Experience leading complex projects, and cross-functional teams ideally in Global, Regional & Local positions Experience gained within the AU & China market - highly regarded Ability to influence and engage stakeholders to bring them on the journey Project Management skills and demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and in budget Demonstrated ability to generate and implement innovative strategies to build business success Externally connected, with an ability to operate with agility to capitalize on trends and deliver innovation Able to work flexibly to meet time zone challenges and attend early morning or late evening meetings as required with global colleagues Prior experience working in a global organization and collaborating with regional groups - highly regarded International travel required (1-3 times per year) Job Benefits and Perks:
