About the role: Reporting directly to the Senior Reliability Engineer, the Plant Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in the efficient and effective management of McArthur River Mine's mobile assets. Working closely with a range of stakeholders you will be primarily responsible for identifying how assets may fail and management strategies to minimise asset downtime relating to McArthur River's mobile assets and plant.Accountabilities: Lead and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical fixed plant process equipment.Conduct technical assessments and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, minimising unplanned downtime and improving overall performance.Implement modifications and upgrades to existing systems to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.Implement condition monitoring programs, including Vibration Analysis (VA) and thermography, to support early fault detection and proactive maintenance.Conduct QA/QC inspection on critical maintenance work. About You: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Mechanical or trade qualification.Demonstrated experience within a mechanical engineering role – mining background is highly desirable.Experience in the use of maintenance management systems - competencies and high aptitude in the use of similar computer IT applications such as SAP, maintenance management systems and Microsoft suite.Experience within quality control and inspection test planning within an industrial environment.
