ABOUT THE COMPANYLocal Government offer 35 hours per week, Work From Home days, flexible start and finish times, RDO's and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role.ABOUT THE POSITIONAs a Development Engineer in an initial 6 month contract, you will be responsible for providing sound technical knowledge of civil infrastructure design and construction standards, as well as providing a working knowledge of land use planning policy and guidelines, with strong communication and negotiation skills.DUTIESEngineering assessment of Development ApplicationsIdentify, resolve and ensure standard and specific conditions address technical issuesAssist in appeals in the Land and Environment CourtLiaise with internal and external Stakeholders including DevelopersSKILLS AND EXPERIENCEDegree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualificationsPrior experience as a Development Engineer in Local Government is highly desirableProven knowledge of Local Government Act, Roads Act & Environmental Planning ActProficient in softwares including AutoCAD, Drains, HEC-RAS and MUSICCULTUREEnjoy being part of a fast paced, collaborative and supportive team environment whilst working autonomously.
