About the Role
This role focuses on delivering quality support and training for authorised carers, managing services within the Out of Home Care (OOHC) program, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Carer Support: Deliver quality support and training for authorised carers.
* Service Management: Coordinate services for general and kinship carers in OOHC.
* Safety and Compliance: Participate in Safety Response Meetings, maintain carer files, and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Placement Matching: Manage placement referrals and match children with suitable carers.
* Financial Management: Oversee program financial resources and report to the CARTS Manager.
* Staff Supervision: Allocate duties to staff and facilitate regular supervision sessions.
* Communication: Prepare reports for funding bodies and ensure carers understand child protection obligations.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in case management or similar roles, preferably in Child Protection or OOHC.
* Tertiary or Diploma qualifications in a relevant field.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience leading a team.
* Experience working with authorised carers and diverse communities.
* Strong casework and management skills with knowledge of strengths-based frameworks.
* Experience in community and stakeholder partnership.
* Knowledge of quality improvement and accreditation processes.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Current Criminal History Check, NSW Working with Children’s Check, NSW driver’s license, and Covid-19 Vaccination.
