We are seeking a skilled and committed individual to join our team and deliver exceptional anaesthetic services to both surgical and obstetric patients in the Riverland community and the broader Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN).

About the Role: As a Special Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing pre- and peri-operative anaesthetic care to surgical and obstetric patients, ensuring the safe and effective management of anaesthesia throughout the surgical process.
You will also play an active role in the management of high-dependency patients and emergency situations when on duty.
Your responsibilities will include: Providing expert anaesthetic care to surgical and obstetric patients, ensuring their safety and well-being Actively engaging in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, including audit and morbidity and mortality review Participating in ongoing continuing education activities to stay up-to-date with the latest practices in anaesthesia This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the health outcomes of our community while working with a dedicated team of professionals.

What We're Looking For: Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or equivalent.
Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
As appropriate to the position.
A formal credentialing and delineation of scope of clinical practice will be undertaken prior to appointment.
