Based in our South Brisbane Distribution Centre, a new rare and exciting opportunity is available for a hands-on Logistics and Distribution Coordinator to join our team.
Reporting to the DC Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the logistics team on shift.
With leadership, proactivity, and energy, you need to make sure that customer service is delivered whilst ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency is met.
Main responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
* Coordinate operations on a shift basis, including troubleshooting and liaising with all appropriate internal & external stakeholders.
* Coordinate and promote ‘right first time’ in accordance with safety and quality guidelines.
* Coordinate and promote ‘on time and in full’ service in relation to our customer’s needs.
* Maintain proactive communication between other shifts, site leadership, and trade partners advising of any potential impacts that may affect overall site deliverables.
* Actively promote behaviour in your team that is consistent with achievement of the KPI’s and all other company objectives, such as zero injuries, no compromise attitude to safety, reporting of all near misses and incident investigation.
* Oversee staffing in the area of responsibility by efficient management of labour including management of the need for casuals.
* Ensure standard reporting systems and records are maintained and completed by the end of shift in all areas.
* Responsible for the effective management of environmental programs including staff training and environmental work as required while ensuring compliance to Local, State, and Federal regulations.
About you:
* Tertiary qualification in Frontline Management (Diploma or equivalent).
* Experience in FMCG Distribution (3 years or more preferred).
* Good computer skills (MS Office), experience with SAP.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to organise, manage and control workflow.
* The ability to set clear expectations and lead by example, deliver on your commitments and strive for excellence and engagement within the team.
* Demonstrated skills to communicate openly and honestly, sharing information and knowledge.
* The drive and capability to take personal responsibility for the performance and outcomes of your team.
