As our growth journey progresses, we're pleased to offer a permanent, full-time Communication Specialist – Media and Corporate Communication opportunity in our collaborative Group Communications team.
In this role, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of communication strategies for the Group, including Newcastle Permanent; Greater Bank; Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation; and Greater Charitable Foundation Brands.
What will your key responsibilities include? Developing and implementing communication plans aligned with NGM Group's strategy. Creating a variety of communication materials, including reports, speeches, presentations, media content, and digital assets for internal and external audiences. Assisting with media relations, including responding to media inquiries, fostering relationships with journalists, and participating in after-hours media on-call rostering if required. Collaborating with the Corporate Affairs team to support key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, CEO, and Executive Team. Conducting research to evaluate communication channels, messaging effectiveness, and campaign performance. Identifying and driving continuous improvement and best practices in communication strategies. Supporting the coordination and execution of NGM Group events. Providing operational support, ensuring timely and professional service delivery. Managing stakeholder engagement, including internal clients and media partners, to enhance communication outcomes. Assisting in Corporate Affairs programs, such as stakeholder liaison, calendar and mailbox coordination, and representing NGM Group at events (including occasional after-hours commitments). What are we looking for? Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing and/or PR or a related field or equivalent demonstrated industry experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across a range of communication channels. Demonstrated experience engaging with and influencing both internal and external stakeholders, including experience engaging with media to achieve outcomes aligned with organisational and communication strategies. A strategic and creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the adaptability to navigate evolving challenges. Strong time-management and organisational skills with the ability to successfully prioritise in a deadline-driven environment. Experience working in a professional, team-based environment, coupled with the willingness and drive to grow and progress professionally. What can you expect from us?
