How will I help?
We are seeking a Manager, Service Provider Governance to join our dynamic team in Sydney. This pivotal role involves supporting all divisions by conducting supplier governance and risk management activities through consistent, transparent and auditable processes.
Our Supplier Governance Support (SGS) team is dedicated to maintaining compliance with supplier governance and risk standards, and supporting a broad spectrum of stakeholders within the group with their supplier management obligations. We are part of the office of the Chief Resilience Officer, a new team created to provide strategic and operational leadership to design, drive and maintain business resilience capability for all areas of the bank’s Australian and global operations.
Some of the key accountabilities are:
Govern and facilitate Material and Major supplier Governance activities
Support, from end-to-end, supplier risk assessments
Manage, monitor and drive supplier compliance and governance to assure risk controls and issue management
Work collaboratively in a team of Managers and Associates
Provide expert advice and support to business stakeholders on governance requirements
Perform governance activities as required to support business stakeholders
Develop, manage and influence strong relationships with key stakeholders
Champion and embed supplier governance and risk management across the Group, while driving continuous improvement
Assist to implement and advise stakeholders on regulatory and policy change initiatives
Develop, enhance and maintain reporting on Westpac’s supplier risk and governance environment
What do I need?
Highly effective stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong ability to work within a changing regulatory environment and comfortable with ambiguity
Proficiency in supplier governance and risk management will be highly regarded
